Aerographer’s Mate Second Class Warren Himmelberger ‘44, U.S. Navy

During his time at Muhlenberg, Warren Himmelberger, of Lebanon, PA, was a member of Der Deutsche Verein and the Mathematics Society and ran for both track and cross country. During World War II he served as a member of the Navy weather service in the Pacific. Following graduation Himmelberger went on to earn two graduate degrees from Boston University and taught junior and senior high school math in Natick, Massachusetts. Active in his community, Himmelberger was a member of the South Middlesex Branch of the NAACP, served in Town Meeting and the Regional School District Planning Board, and was a member of the Wellesley Historical Society.
