The Muhlenberg Memories Project

Brown’s correspondence about active duty in the Army provides rich descriptions of the athletic rigors required as a paratrooper, the life-threatening challenges while on the front lines in France, and the more sublime pleasures of food and drink available on the continent. Gordon Fister, writing for the Alumni Office, responds to Brown with accolades for his reporting on events in France and with plans to publish his writings in future editions of the local paper, the Morning Call and the Alumni Magazine.
