The Muhlenberg Memories Project

Robert G. Hale of Philadelphia was a member of the first V-12 class to enter Muhlenberg in the summer of 1943. Hale was very active on campus as a brother of the honor forensic fraternity Tau Kappa Alpha, an editor for The Muhlenberg Weekly, staff for the Ciarla, a member of the Varsity “M” Club, Mask and Dagger, and Der Deutsche Verein, serving on student council, and as class Vice-President. Hale served in the Pacific theatre and saw action at Okinawa. Following the war, he attended Jefferson Medical College, graduating in 1951. Dr. Hale continued to practice medicine in the Philadelphia area until his retirement.
